ESSENTIAL VIETNAM - 20 DAYS

DAY 1 AIRPORT – HANOI (D) Meet & greet at airport and private transfer to your hotel in Hanoi. Welcome dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 2 HANOI - HA LONG (JOINT TRANSFER) (B+L+D) Transfer to Ha Long Bay passing by Red River Delta, paddy fields and rural villages. Check-in for your cruise sailing past limestone rocks, grottos, floating villages and islets. Chance to swim & kayak. Overnight on board.

DAY 3 HA LONG - HANOI - TRAIN TO LAO CAI (B) After breakfast visit Luon Cave. Joint transfer to Hanoi. Free time. Overnight train to Lao Cai.

DAY 4 LAO CAI - SA PA (B+L) Pick-up from train station. Transfer to Sa Pa & check into your hotel. Your guide will take you to visit local markets & trek through villages where you can meet with the local tribal people.

DAY 5 SA PA - LAO CAI - HANOI (B+L) Transfer to Bac Ha where you can see the different local tribes, visit markets and purchase handicrafts & souvenirs. Transfer to the station for the overnight train back to Hanoi.

DAY 6 FULL DAY HANOI CITY TOUR (B+L) Pick-up from train station. Breakfast and rest at mini-hotel before a full day tour visiting museums, pagodas, temples as well as a stop at Sword Lake. Check into hotel.

DAY 7 HANOI - NINH BINH - TRAIN TO DONG HOI (B+L) Visit limestone karsts & enjoy a boat ride in a sampan through the 3 caves. After lunch visit Bich Dong Pagoda and proceed to Hoa Lu ancient capital to see the temples. Back to Hanoi & overnight train to Dong Hoi.

DAY 8 DONG HOI - PHONG NHA - HANG EN (CAVE ADVENTURE) (B+L+D) Pick-up, breakfast & transfer to the National Park. Trek through jungle to arrive at the cave. Swimming. BBQ Dinner & overnight in the cave.

DAY 9 HANG EN - BAN DOONG VILLAGE - PHONG NHA (B+L) Awake for breakfast, explore the cave, witness 300 million year old fossils before trekking back to Phong Nha through the jungle. Check into your hotel.

DAY 10 PHONG NHA - HUE (B+L) Transfer to Hue & check into your hotel. Lunch at a garden restaurant. Visit the Imperial Enclosure including the Citadel, Forbidden Purple City & Museum of Royal Fine Arts.

DAY 11 HUE - DA NANG - HOI AN (B+L) Visit the Thien Mu Pagoda & tombs of the kings. After lunch transfer to Hoi An visiting the Marble Mountain on the way. Check into your hotel.

DAY 12 HOI AN (B+L) Joint cooking class with a chef-guided tour of a local market to buy fresh ingredients. Cook your own food for lunch in a local restaurant. Free time to explore Hoi An.

DAY 13/14 HOI AN - DA NANG - NHA TRANG (B+L) Day 13 - transfer to Airport, flight to Nha Trang, check into the hotel & free relax time on the beach.
Day 14 - Free day to enjoy the beautiful beaches & water sports.

DAY 15/16 NHA TRANG - DA LAT (B+L) Day 15 - Transfer to Da Lat, check into hotel. In the afternoon zipline, Monkey Bridge & leap of faith adventures.
Day 16 - White water rafting which takes you into one of the least explored areas of Da Lat & down the Lang Biang River.

DAY 17 DA LAT - HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON) (B+L) Transfer to airport - flight to Saigon - city tour to include Reunification Palace & Notre Dame Cathedral. Check into the hotel & later visit the Cu Chi tunnels.

DAY 18 SAIGON - MY THO - CAN THO (B+L) Head south stopping at a snake farm on the way to My Tho & enjoy a canal boat ride to rural houses where families produce coconut candy & honey. Check into your hotel.

DAY 19 CAN THO - SAIGON (B+L) Early morning visit to the floating market on the Mekong Delta. Visit local farms in Can Tho on the way back to Saigon. Check into your hotel.

DAY 20 SAIGON - AIRPORT (B) After breakfast transfer to the Airport as per your flight timings.
