DAY 1 AIRPORT – NEGOMBO (D)
Meet & greet at airport and private transfer to your hotel in Negombo close to a beautiful beach. Free time & dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2 PINNAWALA - DAMBULLA - GIRITALE (B+D)
After breakfast your chauffeur guide will take you to visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage for abandoned or wounded elephants. Continue on to the Dambulla cave Temples with more than 130 Buddha statues, some of which date back to the 1st century B.C. and have ceilings covered with Buddhist murals. Check-in & dinner at your hotel.
DAY 3 GIRITALE - SIGIRIYA - POLONNARUWA - GIRITALE (B+D)
After breakfast your guide will take you to climb the famous 660ft high Sigiriya Rock (The Lion's Rock) followed by a sightseeing tour of Polonnaruwa which was the medieval capital of Sri Lanka. Free time & dinner at the hotel.
DAY 4 GIRITALE - MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK (B+D)
Breakfast & free time. In the afternoon enjoy your elephant safari & other wildlife at Minneriya National Park. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 5 GIRITALE - MATALE - KANDY (B+D)
After breakfast your guide will transfer you to Kandy. On the way you will visit a Spice Garden in Matale and a gem stone market. Check into your hotel and continue on a city tour of Kandy including upper lake drive, arts & crafts centre, and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 6 KANDY - PERADENIYA - KITULGALA - KANDY (B+D)
After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical gardens (dating to 1374 AD) comprising 147 acres with over 5000 species of trees and plants, and enjoy the Orchid House with over 300 varieties of exquisite orchids. After, transfer to Kitulgala for your white water rafting adventure. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 7 KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA (B+D)
After breakfast, transfer to the train station for a ride to the city of Nuwara Eliya, known as ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, set against a beautiful backdrop of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. Check into your hotel. In the evening you will have a city tour followed by dinner at the hotel.
DAY 8 NUWARA ELIYA (B+D)
After breakfast you will be taken to visit The Horton Plains National Park (2134m elevation) where you will enjoy light trekking through misty grassland, leading to World’s End - considered to be one of the finest views in all of Sri Lanka. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 9 NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA - YALA (B+D)
After an early breakfast you will leave for Yala via Ella to see some of the most beautiful panoramic views in Sri Lanka and you will also visit the Ravana Waterfalls. Check-in & dinner at your beach hotel.
DAY 10 YALA (B+D)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken for a jeep Safari at the Yala National Park - the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, with one of the highest Leopard densities in the world. See wild buffalo, herds of wild elephants, birds and other animals. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 11 YALA - AIRPORT (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport as per flight timings OR you may wish to extend your stay in a beach resort in Sri Lanka. You can also go whale-watching, or stay in the rain forest.
