NEPAL Adventure - 9 DAYS
DAY 1 Kathmandu – Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the surrounding area.
DAY 2 Kathmandu (B) – Start your Kathmandu sightseeing tour with a visit to Durbar Square and the Hanuman Dhoka Palace Complex. The square is surrounded by wonderful architecture and is a World Heritage Site. Visit also Swayambhunath, an ancient religious complex perched high in the Kathmandu valley and known also as the monkey temple. See also Pashupatinath Temple, the oldest Hindu shrine and a World Heritage Site, as well as Boudhnath Stupa, the largest stupa in Asia located on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu and is the holiest Buddhist Temple outside Tibet.
DAY 3 Kathmandu (B) – Visit Bhaktapur, the best preserved city of the country with three major squares full of lofty temples displaying some of the finest sacred architecture in the entire country.
DAY 4 Kathmandu – Chitwan (B) – Drive to Chitwan National Park, another World Heritage Site. It is a rich natural area in the Terai, the subtropical southern part of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of one horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tigers and Gharial Crocodiles.
DAY 5 Chitwan (B) – Full day jungle excursion of Chitwan National Park – one of the finest National parks in Asia. The topography of forest with thick grasslands and plenty of water makes it a perfect environment for the wildlife to survive. Enjoy an elephant safari in the lush green jungles guided by Naturalist who will help you to identify wildlife and various plants. Experience a Native Folk dance and stick dance later in the evening.
DAY 6 Chitwan – Pokhara (B) – Pokhara‘s beauty has been the subject of many travel writers. Its pristine air, spectacular backdrop of snowy peaks, serene lakes and surrounding greenery make it ‘the jewel in the Himalaya’, a place of remarkable natural beauty. With the magnificent Annapurna range forming the backdrop and the serenity of three major lakes – Phewa, Rupa and Begnas – is the ultimate destination for relaxation.
DAY 7 Pokhara (B) – Visit to Sarangkot, a small village offering delightful views of the Annapurna Mountain Range. The village is visited mostly during dawn and dusk, to view the sun changing its hues from purple pink to celestial gold. Visit also Bindebasini Temple perched high on a hill – the white Pagoda style building is dedicated to Goddess Durga. See also Gupteshwar Cave, a shrine dedicated to lord Shiva, the cave is famous for its underground water and the view of Davis fall. In the evening, enjoy boating on the Lake Fewa.
DAY 8 Pokhara – Kathmandu (B) – Morning departure for Kathmandu. Arrive and check in at hotel. Rest of the day is free for independent activities or shopping.
DAY 9 Kathmandu – Transfer to the airport to board your flight for onward destination.
