NAMIBIA - 21 DAYS

 

 DAY 1   Windhoek – Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

 DAY 2  Windhoek – Kalahari (B/D) – Drive towards the Kalahari and check into you lodge. Enjoy an afternoon scenic drive before dinner at the lodge.

 DAY 3   Kalahari (B/D) – Enjoy a day of nature trails and game viewing.

 DAY 4  Kalahari – Fish River Canyon (B) – After an early breakfast, travel south to the Fish River Canyon, one of the world’s major canyons at 160 km length, 27 km width and 550 m deep.  On the way stop at Brukkaros, an extinct volcanic crater and Quiver Tree Forest.  Enjoy hiking and game viewing at the Canyon before checking in to your hotel.

 DAY 5  Fish River Canyon – Luderitz (B) – Early morning departure to Aus and early afternoon light trekking in the Southern Namib – Naukluft Park to see the feral horses.

 DAY 6   Luderitz (B) – Visit to Kolmanskop Ghost Town, Diaz Point and take a boat trip to Halifax Island.

 DAY 7   Sossusvlei (B) – Enjoy impressive desert scenery with the chance to see springbok and wild ostrich as you drive to Sossusvlei.

 DAY 8   Sossusvlei - Start off at sunrise and spend the day in the National Park exploring some of the world’s highest red sand dunes and a sheltered salt and clay pan with petrified trees that are hundreds of years old.

 DAY 9   Sossusvlei – Swakopmund (B) – Drive north to Swakopmund and you will notice a change in scenery from mountains and sand dunes to grassy hillsides. Along the way look out for Hartmann’s mountain zebra, springbok and wild ostrich. On arrival visit Walvis Bay Lagoon, a wetlands site with thousands of flamingos, pelicans and other waders.

 DAY 10   Swakopmund (B) – Take a morning cruise to see dolphins and seals and other marine life around Walvis Bay or go quad biking in the desert. Afternoon free at leisure for relaxation or shopping.

 DAY 11  Swakopmund – Damaraland (B) – Drive along Skeleton Coast; home to an enormous seal colony and head inland into one of the most scenic areas in Namibia. See the granite rock formations and visit the  Twfyelfontein rock paintings, the Petrified Forest and the Organ Pipes along the way.

 DAY 12   Damaraland – Kaokoland (B) – Head to Opuwo and check in to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon at leisure.

 DAY 13   Kaokoland (B) – Travel to the northern border with Angola and check in to your lodge on the banks of the Kunene River at Epupa Falls. Meet with Himba villagers and learn about their ways and traditions.

 DAY 14   Kaokoland (B) – Visit Epupa Falls, a series of magnificent waterfalls and enjoy a fun day of activities with nature walks, birdwatching, canoeing or rafting along the Kunene River.

 DAY 15  Kaokoland – Etosha National Park – West (B) – Travel south through the western gate of Etosha National Park. The park has a healthy population of lions, rhinos, giraffe, zebra, springbok and elephants apart from a wide variety of other wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and overnight in your lodge.

 DAY 16  Etosha National Park – West – South (B) – Enjoy a morning game drive before heading to your next lodge for an afternoon game drive.

 DAY 17  Etosha National Park – South - East (B) – Enjoy a morning game drive before heading to your next lodge in a private game reserve where you will have a guided walk.

 DAY 18  Etosha National Park – East (B) – Enjoy a morning game drive and rhino tracking. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the lodge and surrounding areas.

 DAY 19   Etosha National Park – East - Waterberg (B) – Depart Etosha and visit the Hoba meteorite, the largest ever found so far on earth. Enjoy a nature walk at Waterberg Plateau National Park with its wonderful table mountain.

 DAY 20  Waterberg - Windhoek (B) – Enjoy morning game viewing before leaving to Windhoek. Check in to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

 DAY 21  Windhoek (B) – Day at leisure until time for your transfer to the airport to catch your flight.
