Honeymoon & Adventure

 Day 1  AIRPORT - CAIRO: Arrive in Cairo – Meet and Greet at Airport and transfer to your hotel.  Rest of the day at leisure.  Overnight in Cairo.

 Day 2  CAIRO - GIZA - CAIRO (B): This morning depart with your private guide and driver for a full day Private Tour of the ancient Memphis, Saqqara and the pyramids at Giza. Drive south to Memphis to visit this ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom and the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. Finish with the most iconic and largest pyramids at Giza and the mysterious Sphinx. Overnight in Cairo.

 Day 3  CAIRO - ALEXANDRIA (B): Today we will head to Alexandria (about 3 hours’ drive in private car), our first stop will be a Wadi El Natrun Tour, which is regarded as the birthplace for monasticism. There were about 50 monasteries, only 4 have survived today. Start with a visit to Deir al-Baramus, the oldest of the surviving 4 monasteries, proceed to Deir Anba Bishoi whose body is still in the monastery. You will end your trip with a visit to Deir El-Suryani  the smallest and most preserved monastery. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Alexandria.

 Day 4  ALEXANDRIA - CAIRO (B): Day tour to Alexandria to visit El Montazah gardens (exterior only) and The Montazah palace which was the summer home of the Egyptian Royal family. Then continue to the Catacomb (Kom El Shuqqafa), a remarkable example of the Alexandrian blend of Greco-Roman and Egyptian styles carved into 100ft of solid rock. Transfer back to Cairo & overnight in Hotel. 

 Day 5  CAIRO - ASWAN (B): Early morning departure to the airport for your short flight to Aswan and transfer to your hotel.  Rest of the day at leisure - relax or roam through the city at your own pace. Overnight in Aswan.

 Day 6  ASWAN - NILE CRUISE (B- L- D): After breakfast, a private transfer to board your cruise ship in Aswan. After settling in to your cabin, disembark for a guided trip to the High Dam and the Temple of Philae. The latter is a shrine to Isis: your guide will explain how UNESCO took steps to relocate it to save it from flooding. In the afternoon, take an Egyptian Felucca to sail on the Nile, passing by the Elephantine Island, and visiting the Botanical Gardens on the Kitchener Island. Overnight on Cruiseship.

 Day 7  NILE CRUISE (B- L-D): Early in the morning, you will set sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Greco-Roman Sobek Temple, the temple is unusual in that it is a double temple, with one side dedicated to the god Haroesis and the other side to Sobek. Continue sailing to Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus (also known as the Temple of Edfu), considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, built in the Ptolemaic era from 237 to 57 BC. Despite its later date, it reflects traditional pharaonic architecture and so provides an excellent idea of how all the temples once looked. Edfu is also very large: the second largest in Egypt after Karnak Temple. Enjoy your lunch on board, followed by a shore excursion to the Edfu temple. Back to the ship and leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight on Cruiseship in Luxor.

 Day 8  NILE CRUISE (B- L- D): Early morning sail to Luxor. After breakfast on board, explore some of the most incredible sites of the country. You will visit the Valley of the Kings where you will have the chance to explore three tombs of the ancient Pharaohs. You will then visit the recently renovated mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Hatshepsut was the second pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. The tour also includes a visit to the huge Colossi of Memnon which are all that remain of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Overnight on Cruiseship.

 Day 9  HURGHADA (B -/- AI): After breakfast on board, you will start your day with a visit to the Temples of Karnak. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. Continue to Luxor Temple which was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometre long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the temple. Your private guide will offer interpretation and guide you through the most important parts of the temples. After the tour, you will be transferred to Hurghada (around 4hour drive). Overnight in Hurghada.

 Day 10 - 13  HURGHADA (AI): You have the day at leisure to relax and soak up the sun, relaxing by the swimming pool or on the beach. Or sign up for optional activities at your resort (not included in tour price); deep sea fishing, boat excursions, scuba diving, snorkeling, quad bike, or other. Overnight in Hurghada.

 Day 14  HURGHADA - CAIRO (B): A private transfer to Hurghada Airport for a short flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival our representative will pick up you and transfer to your hotel for overnight. Overnight in Cairo.

 Day 15  CAIRO (B): After breakfast, start your day with a trip to the Egyptian museum to view the largest collection of Pharonic antiquities and explore Egypt for all its great history. A quick transfer to Old Cairo to visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Citadel of Salah el Dinand the El Khalili Bazaar to browse and shop. After the tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

 Day 16  CAIRO (B): Enjoy time at leisure in hotel before late evening private transfer to the airport for your onward flight early Friday morning back to Malta.
