CAMBODIA - 17 DAYS
DAY 1 ARRIVAL PHNOM PENH – Our representative will meet with you at the arrival gate and arrange your transfer to the hotel – rest of the day at leisure.
DAY 2 PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP BY MEKONG CRUISE (B/L/D) – After breakfast, visit Wat Phnom – founded in 1373, the pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics. Continue to the National Museum to view its collection of Khmer art – notably sculptures and also visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. After lunch, transfer to your Mekong Cruise to Siem Reap – overnight on board.
DAY 3 TONLE SAP RIVER – KOH CHEN – KAMPONG CHHNANG (B/L/D) – After breakfast on board, visit Koh Chen, a silversmith village known for its fine craftsmanship. Later, continue learning about Khmer riverside life in Kampong Chhnang, the 'Port of Pottery' – overnight on board.
DAY 4 MOUTH OF THE TONLE SAP LAKE – CHHNOK TRU – MOAT KHLA (B/L/D) – Today, explore the remote communities around Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Visit an ice factory and learn from locals what it's like to live in a floating village. After lunch, attend a Buddhist blessing ceremony in this isolated community – overnight on board.
DAY 5 TONLE SAP LAKE – PREK TOAL – SIEM REAP (B) – Set off by skiff into the Prek Toal Core Bird Reserve, one of the largest freshwater bodies in Asia and last refuge in Southeast Asia for a variety of large water birds. Disembarkation and transfer by Jeep to your resort – rest of day at leisure – overnight at the resort
DAY 6 SIEM REAP (B) – Today you will head to Angkor to visit the last capital of the Khmer Empire: Angkor Thom, built in the 12th century. Inside its walls, you will see the South Gate with its huge statues, Bayon temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with 216 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to Ta Prohm, a beautiful jungle temple which nature has taken over. After lunch, visit the most famous of all temples: Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious monument named UNESCO World Heritage site in 1992. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 7 SIEM REAP – KOH KER & PREAH VIHEAR BY HELICOPTER (B) – Transfer to the airport for your private helicopter flight to visit Preah Vihear and former ancient Khmer capital Koh Ker. Preah Vihear is an ancient Khmer temple built along the border between Thailand and Cambodia. Koh Ker is a 10th–century temple complex in the north Cambodian jungle. A former capital of the Khmer Empire, the site is now remote and heavily forested. The main structure, Koh Ker Temple, is a stepped 7–tiered pyramid. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 8 SIEM REAP (B/D) – Travel by classic sidecar–bikes for a unique experience, and discover some of the magnificent temples built by King Jayavarman VII, the most powerful of the Khmer monarchs in the 12th century. Preah Khan Temple, located in the Angkor Archaeological Park is still largely unrestored, ride around Jayatataka to visit the surrounding temples of Kro Ko, Neak Pean and Ta Som. Later enjoy a river boat ride with bbq dinner on board. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 9 SIEM REAP (B/D) – Experience a local Artisans tour for Ceramics, Silk and Stone carving. Later in the evening, you will be taken to a charming little hut for a romantic evening. Enjoy a drink and canapes while watching the sun set over the rice fields, followed by a delicious Khmer dinner accompanied by traditional music. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 10 SIEM REAP – SIHANOUKVILLE – CARDAMOM (B/D) – Transfer to the airport for your flight to Sihanoukville and continue on to a luxury eco–lodge deep in the rainforest. Rest of day free at leisure to enjoy all the inclusive activities and spa treatments. Overnight at the eco–lodge
DAY 11-12 CARDAMOM (B/L/D) – Day at leisure to enjoy all the eco–lodge
DAY 13 CARDAMOM – ISLAND / BEACH RESORT (B) – Transfer to the port for departure by boat to your beach resort on one of the nearby islands. Time for relaxation and water sports. Overnight at your beach resort
DAY 14-16 BEACH RESORT (B) – Full Day at leisure to relax and enjoy the beaches
DAY 17 ISLAND / BEACH RESORT – PHNOM PENH (B)– Boat transfer back to main–land and transfer to Phnom Penh International Airport.
